Affinity is the latest adaptation of the work of acclaimed author Sarah Waters, demonstrating the same refined, intelligent, and engaging drama as seen in previous screen translations Tipping the Velvet and Fingersmith. Set in a darkly atmospheric Victorian era London, Affinity follows the passionate relationship that develops between an upper middle-class woman, Margaret, and Selina, a mysterious spiritualist who she visits in prison as part of her charity work. As the women find themselves increasingly drawn to one another, they take desperate measures to be together.
