A rare and eye-opening look at the lives of female Israeli soldiers, Seeds of Summer follows the director as she returns to the site of her own combat training – where she first fell in love with a woman. As she interacts with the young women, and as they form bonds with one another, the camera observes how admiration can transform to infatuation in this women-only, charged environment that paradoxically privileges patriarchal martial codes and conventions over femininity.
