When the Spanish Parliament passed the law giving same-sex couples the right to marry in June of 2005, Mayor Francisco Maroto from Campillo de Ranas, a small mountain village, was one of the first to step forward to perform the marriages. While other mayors fought to appeal the law, Maroto embraced it.  Experience a beautiful portrait of the town and an open-minded community, told through the stories of multiple couples who arrived to finally have their unions fully, legally recognized.
